SemSearch - A Semantic Search Engine

SemSearch is implemented as a search service that can be easily customized towards specific problem domains. Two web applications have been built upon the SemSearch technology:

A search engine for the KMi semantic web portal, which can be accessed at: http://semanticweb.kmi.open.ac.uk:8080/ksw/semsearch.jsp/.
A search engine for the 3rd European Semantic Web Conference: http://search.eswc2006.org/

Semsearch treats search as an iterative activity. The web-based version supports end users to refine their search by allowing the selection and deselection of the matches of the keywords. More advanced support is implemented in the desktop version of the search engine. User can navigate through the concept space of matches to broaden or narrow their search.

SemSearch is an on-going work. Currently we are using Google Web Toolkit and the Ajax technology to develop a more user interaction focused web-based version. The following figures show some screenshots of SemSearch applications.
